Noah Angel Paiz was born on May 17, 2014 at 29 weeks. He weight 3 pounds at birth, little did we know at the time the challenges ahead. Noah was diagnosed with 5p Inverted Duplication Deletion Syndrome, a rare chromosome disorder. Due to the chromosome abnormality baby Noah has many health problems. Accumulated liquid in the brain and lungs, hearing issues, a severe cleft palate, two hearth murmurs, lung disease, kidney obstruction and limited mobility on fingers and toes. Our Noah was intubated right after birth. Since all the extubations trials failed, he had a Tracheostemy at 4 months old. Recently, a Gastronomy was performed because his cleft palate makes it difficult for him to feed through his mouth like a normal infant. It’s hard as parents to see our son suffer. None of the doctors at Texas Children Hospital has seen Noah's chromosome abnormality on any other child. Since there's not a lot of information about it, they can only speculate how this abnormality will affect him as he gets older.
Noah has many upcoming surgeries, however he will be discharged after 6 long months of being hospitalized. He will need around the clock care, constant monitoring. At the moment, he's ventilator dependent. He can not breath without a breathing machine as of today. Noah feeds through a tube on the side of his abdomen. Eventually Noah will start therapy because he is physically delayed due to his prematurity.

Due to Noah's health problems, my husband is the only one working at the moment. He's employed by the Harris County Sheriff's Office as a patrolmen, Deputy Jose Paiz. Being in this career is stressful enough for him, having to worried about medical expenses just adds more stress. As his Wife, I'm asking for his family, friends, and co-workers to support him emotionally and continue to motivate him through these hard times. He has been a good husband for 13 years, but a absolutely great carrying and responsible father to our kids.

In the hopes of providing some relief for medical bills and other expenses we have set a primary goal of raising as much as we can to assist with Noah's future. Please help spread the word and donate, Any amount helps!  All donations made will go directly to our family to ease the burden of medical bills and expenses during this trying time.

We want to Thank You for taking time to read about our sweet baby boy Noah. Even through the hardship, we are blessed with our little ray of sunshine. Our Family is truly grateful for all donations that have been given. Noah's homecoming is on November 18, 2014, which we are blessed to finally have him home with the rest of our family.
