Hello Potenial Donors,
North Mecklenburg High School DECA has been working really hard this year and would love your support of some of our upcoming events and projects. DECA is a marketing-based organization where students learn and practice the fundamentals of marketing in many areas, such as advertising, entrepreneurship, finance, promotions, public relations, and community service. In early September 2014, DECA students began preparing for our local and state competitions. This year ninety-three North Mecklenburg DECA students qualified to compete against students across the whole state! We performed well at the state competition and now, twenty-five are qualified and will contiue to compete on an international level. However, due to the cost of the trip, there will be a financial strain to participate. Because of their hard work on projects, confidence in role play situations, team work with one another high test scores, and hours of practice, these twenty-five students have the opportunity to showcase their skills against students from all fifty United States, Canada, Guam, Mexico, Germany, and Puerto Rico. What an amazing achievement!
What they need now is your support! North Mecklenburg DECA needs to raise a total of $10,000 to send our students and chaperones to the International Career Development Conference in May of this year. Each student is responsible for paying the majority of his/her own way. North Mecklenburg is doing its best to raise money, but the turn-around time is very short. These students are the next generation of business professionals, and they deserve the chance to get the best education and opportunites available. This competition gives them exactly that!
Please consider supporting the cause in any way you are able. You and/or your business will recieve recogntion from our students at the competition as well as a letter of thanks for you to use for tax purposes. Monetary donations will go directly to the students and chaperones participating in the international competition. We are also conducint several spirit nights at loca restaurants and would love for your business and family to participate by joining us for dinner on those nights.
