Mel needs a Defibrillator

Friends, Family, Acquaintances and Strangers:

"Mel" (Daniel) Mcfarlane is a gem dealt a rough deck of cards.  This last weekend he suffered a heart attack. He is on oxygen and only has 10% working on his right valve.  He needs a defibrillator.  Even with insurance, he is going to owe at least $20,000 in medical expenses.  Barely making his bills due to his existing disabilities, he needs all the support he can get to cover these expenses.  Every penny counts.  

The background on Mel:

 Mel was on top of the world in his career, love and the daily blessings we take for granted. He woke up 7 years ago with a blood clot around his spine leaving the medical staff to cut his nerves.  This left him without being able to walk and in intense pain.  It was unknown if he would walk again. Dedicated, Mel took those magical steps 4 years later with the support of his loved one and canes.  Changing the course of his life's ambitions, he has been on limited income with disability and health insurance that can't give him the care he needs.
