Hello everyone! I know that it has...

Hello everyone!

I know that it has been awhile since I updated our page. We have been going through some trials that have been rough.

We do have some good news to report. Sebrina has had almost a full recovery. She is walking now and her bone is fusing. They told us that once she has rebuilt the muscles in her legs that she will be able to start playing her sports again.

My condition has continued to progress unfortunately. However, we are staying positive. We have so many things to be thankful for. We are thankful for our friends, our family, our home, our car, and even the food that we eat. God has provided a way where we thought there was none. We are trusting in him to help us through this time. I would also like to thank each and every one of you that has helped us during our time of need. You will never know how much this has meant to us!

Sorry that I have not updated...

Sorry that I have not updated everyone in awhile. It has been really hectic lately. I am still going to physical therapy three times a week and now so is my daughter. They still have not found what is causing the swelling in my spine. The X-Rays did show that two levels above my fusion and one level below my fusion are narrowing in the disc space. The have scheduled my daughter to have surgery in April. She will have a bone graft and cement done to her leg to fill in the hole in her leg. She is attending physical therapy right now to help the calf muscle that she tore while playing soccer. She will have to continue physical therapy after surgery. We still do not know what has caused the cyst or why it has ate at the bone. We will know more after surgery once the biopsy has been performed. We just thought that things were rough financially before. Now we have twice the medical bills and co-pays. Please keep us in your prayers and pray that my daughter's surgery goes well. Thank you!

Went to see the doctor today...

Went to see the doctor today after having physical therapy. He thinks that the car wreck has aggravated my surgery and has changed my medications again! I think before this is said and done I will have taken every medication possibly known to man before this all ends. I have been told that I have to rest more and continue physical therapy three times a week for the next three months.

About This Page

Hi!  Let me start by introducing myself.  My name is Cynthia Richardson-El Habti.  I am married and a mother of two teenagers.  I am an avid animal lover and we have eight four-legged-furry animal members plus two birds.

My family has been facing a very rough time this year!  We have had trouble financially because of problems with our health.  In 2005, I was diagnosed with degenerative disc disease and have progressively gotten worse.  I had a multi-level fusion surgery in December and will be having another fusion surgery on my neck before the end of the year.  My daughter, who is 14, had surgery on her leg on April 20th because of a cyst that ate part of the bone in her lower leg.

Due to the medical problems that I have I am not able to work at this time.  When I had surgery we figured that I would be off of work for about three months.  It has been a lot longer than that now.  Times have been really rough for us financial and emotionally.  I recently lost my car because I was unable to make the payments.

I am asking for help because we do not know where else to turn.  I tried to apply for food stamps and got denied because we make $50.00 over the gross amount allowed for a family of four.  They will not even consider our medical expenses or insurance expense until I get my disability.  I have filed for disability and have been denied twice and now it is going to trial.  The attorney says that it could take up to 16 months just to get a hearing.

Any dontations would be greatly appreciated!  I know that with the economy times are tough for everyone.  Even if you are unable to donate, I would like to thank you for taking the time to read our story and would ask that you join us in a prayer that one of the churches  gave us.

Father,

I praise and thank you for who You are to me.

You are God, holy and mighty above all (Luke 1:49)

And there is nothing too hard for you. (Jeremiah 32:27)

You have given me all things on earth to enjoy. (Psalm 115:16; Jeremiah 27:5)

You desire the very best for me. (Matthew 7:11; Luke 11:13)

You want to prosper me. (Proverbs 28:35)

Because You love me. (Jeremiah 31:3; John 1:17; Romans 8:31)

So I come before you in light of your promises;

Because You are God and You cannot lie (Titus 1:2)

You will make a way when there seems to be no way, (Joshua 2:10)

And give me the ability to produce wealth, (Deuteronomy 8:18)

More than I could ever think or imagine. (Ephesians 3:20)

Your Word is power, (Hebrews 1:3)

It created the world as we know it. (Hebrews 11:3)

And I speak this out, Expecting the same for my own world.

So thank you Father, I trust in Your love and faithfulness.

I ask that the lord bless my family with prosperity, wealth, and good health.  I also ask that the lord blesses each of your with prosperity, wealth, and good health.

Amen.

Dear Anonymous, Thank you so much for your donation. You are absolutely right that God blesses! I can not thank you enough! May god bless you and your family. I hope that everyone has a great day and that all of their prayers be answered. I can not express to you all how much of a difference you have made for me and my family right now in our time of need. You have provided my family with the basic necessities that I was not able to provide right now. It brings me to tears the thought of all of generosity that you guys have shown me and my family. I can not say Thank You enough! Cindy

Good morning. I woke up this morning to an email from paypal stating that I had received a donation. I would also like to thank my family and friends for thinking about setting up a fundraiser to help me during my time of need. It is not easy to have to ask for help so you guys are great for giving me a hand. Many of you are probably wondering what CMJRSN stands for right? It is Cynthia Michelle, Jacob Ray, and Sebrina Nichole. This is my name, my son's name, and my daughter's name. It has been a tough couple of weeks since surgery. This type of surgery is not something that I would wish upon anyone. It is going to take a long time to heal and is my understanding that I will spend three days a week for several months in physical therapy once my bone graft starts to take. I have been able to walk with a walker since the day after surgery. My pace is slow but the amount that I am able to walk is increasing a little each day. Things are getting a little easier each day.
