Our beloved mother, friend, and sister Mayela Thomas embraced eternity the night of January 18th and became the angel we all saw and new. Her unconditional love and compassion remains in our hearts and souls forever. The lessons of love, kindness and charity are Mayela's legacy she leaves with each of us and our lives are our tribute to her memory. We love you, Mom, sister, Tia, and friend. Mayela Thomas was diagnosed with small-cell carcinoma of the lungs April 26, 2012. Never a smoker in her life! She lived a happy life helping others wherever she went. Unfortunately, the cancer disease is taking her from her beloved children, the world of dear friends and family which she deeply loves.
