Mary Engelman Memorial Fund

Dear family & friends,

Being a forerunner is a costly venture.  You must "count the cost" before you set off on the journey.  My mother, Mary, knew the costs well and set out to change the destiny of her family. On that journey, she lost a husband, a grandaughter and many friends.  Yet her resolve and the grace of God created a multiplication effect that will be felt for generations to come.

What does it look like to change the direction of your family.  Perhaps my mother's story is yours.  She, in death, will produce even more fruit.

We thank you, as a family, for your support and sowing into her legacy.

The proceeds from the Mary Engelman Memorial Fund will best be used to advance the gospel in power.  Everything you give will be used to send me, my family and ministries Mary sowed into.

If you know me, you know my mother.  She was a mother to many. Mary Engelman, like mother Mary, answered the call years ago by saying, "Your will be done Lord" and because of that, He moved through her life mightily.

September 3rd at 2:10pm, she went home to a heavenly kingdom.

When I got the call from Bryan, that mom was in the emergency room, I began to pray.  In prayer, I heard The Lord say, "let her go. She's always been mine". Without thinking, I said, "Let her go", and she soon went home to be with The Lord, my father and many who've gone on before her.

Mary was a trailblazer for Christ.  In the early '80's she helped establish an Assembly of God church in Apply Valley Minnesota.  Despite local and regional pressures, she persaveered as did the church.  Mary later went on to be ordained as a minister and help establish a ministry in Minneapolis/St.Paul (Twin Cities).  There, she helped minister to the broken, addicts and street people.  Soup and sandwiches go a long way to minister the gospel of true love.

Her intimate relationship with Christ helped her through difficult times.  On June 15th, of 1992 she lost her husband, Earland Stanely Engelman.  He was only 50 years old.  She was 43 with three teens.

She is survived by her two sons, Bryan and his bride, Kim, have three amazing childen, Lexie, Logan and Maya.  Brent and his bride, Natalie, have two children Lance and Elliana.  Becky and her husband, Nathan, have four children, Nevaeh, Marrisah, Justice and Isaac.

She is survived by her sister, Debbie Hannasch, David Thorsness and Larry Thorsness.

Ministry was not a side item for Mary.  She gave her life for Christ.  She had a purpose.  She had direction and she had instruction.  Her purpose was to give everything into the  kingdom of God.  This included us as her children.

After her husband's death in 1992 the Lord guided her to relocate to Lee's Summit Missouri, just outside Kansas City.  There she picked a home equadistant from IHOP (International House of Prayer) and World Revival Church (WRC).  She quickly immersed herself in ministry.  She volunteered at WRC's healing house for several years.

A trailblazer, a mother and eternally a daughter of the Most High God.  She is seated in a heavely place next to Christ Jesus.

So here's the question...
Do you have a purpose, direction and instruction from the Lord?  If not, why not?  If not, know Mary's purpose is all of our purpose, she simply knew it and was obedient.

"But the LORD stands beside me like a great warrior. Before him my persecutors will stumble. They cannot defeat me. They will fail and be thoroughly humiliated. Their dishonor will never be forgotten."  (Jerimiah 20:11)

With love and compassion,

The Engelman Family; Bryan & Kim, Brent & Natalie, Becky & Nathan.
