"Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter." - Martin Luther King, Jr

On April 7th 2015 - 15,347 Springfield MO residents voted to repeal "SOGI" via Question 1 on the local ballot. This action removed"sexual orientation and gender identity" protectetions from the mucipal non-discrimination code, thus effectively rolling back the civil rights of some citizens.

The "No Repeal" votes tallied 14,493 (51% vs 49%) meaning the election was very close and this active social issue is by no means "decided".

We at "Make Springfield Weird" wish to show our support to ALL Springfieldians (No matter how "normal" or "weird")  and ask our friends to donate what little amount they can to help continue this fight for Equal Civil Rights.

100% of all contributions will be donated to the Springfield GLO community center, an organization that will be leading the fight come the next election cycle.
