MSU Archery Team

We are a growing archery team currently consisting of around 60 members, 20 of which travel to competitions. Our members are all students at Michigan State University.
We have many expenses including travel expenses, tournament fees, and competition apparel (shooting uniforms). Since we are not directly funded by the university, these costs can add up and become very expensive for the team. We are looking for any financial help to ensure we can continue to expand the sport and compete across the nation.
Each year, we compete in Indoor Nationals, Outdoor Regionals, Outdoor Nationals, 3-D Regionals, and 3-D Nationals. In the 2013-2014 school year, our team competed in Missouri, Wisconsin, and California. Some members of the team also competed in world team trials, held in South Dakota.
So far in the 2014-2015 school year, members have traveled to Kentucky for 3-D Regionals, and are preparing to travel to Missouri for 3-D Nationals this upcoming weekend.
This summer, a member of the MSU Archery team represented Michigan State University and the United States by making the world team. She competed in Poland at the World University Championship with archers from all around the world.
The Michigan State Archery team brought 12 shooters to California for Outdoor Nationals last year. Costing around $1000/person, the California shoot alone costed the team at least $12,000. At this shoot, we took home two national championships, a silver metal, three all-american titles, and two all-academic titles. Michigan State University definitely got itself some recognition!
Currently, we only bring our top three shooters in each division to Outdoor Nationals. Eventually we hope that we can bring our entire team. Every member brings something different and unique to the team, and we all have truly become family; it's hard leaving some of them behind when we travel because we don't have the finances to bring everyone.
We want Michigan State University to be represented in the archery world at future collegiate shoots, but we need to ensure we have the funds to do so.
So, we ask that you consider funding Michigan State Archery team. This money will go directly to the team, helping to pay for travel expenses, tournament fees, and any other expenses we need to ensure we can continue to grow and improve.
