A family dear to our hearts

Hello friends and family,
I'll try to make this brief but informative. As many of you remember the very popular ALS challenge (most of us participated in or know someone who has), I couldn't help but to think about how great it would be if we could all impact a family that we personally knew and Loved. I immediately thought of the Lucas's. Many of you know them as Rick and Jo. For many of us, they were the clubs parents . For me they were roll models willing to help anyone that needed it, stranger or not.
Many of you also know that Rick has been in the hospital several times a month year after year. Jo has worked very hard to keep up with finances while continuing to care for Rick and her family. Unfortunately, in the past week Jo was admitted and now the two of them are having complications and in separate hospitals.
If you read Rick or Jo's posts on Facebook, through all of the complications and challenges, they continue to joke, smile and most admirably, let it be known that God has a plan for them and are content. They are both full of hope and faith . Below is the latest post from Jo's Facebook page.
