The LHS History Club Mission is to promote students' awareness of their own diverse and unique heritage in order to promote healthy self-esteem and passion for learning. The Club activities will include but not be limited to peer-tutoring students in government and history, Organizing activities to raise community awareness of the rich heritage in Naples, Florida, and The United States. We will be organizing club sponsored trips to historic sites around Florida and the US.
ALL DONATIONS WILL BE USED TO HELP STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN FIELD TRIPS. Our 2014 Trip is planned to visit Washington DC, Gettysburg, PA, and Williamsburg, VA.

The cost per student is approximately $1200.00 we are planning a trip for 50 students. The students need to raise half the money themselves. I am trying to raise the other half
We will accept donations of any size from $1 to $30000

The trip Itinerary :
FRIDAY
MARCH 21
11:00 AM Depart Naples, FL via chartered motor coach enroute to Washington, D.C.
(necessary stops made for breaks "“ meals on own)

SATURDAY
MARCH 22
7:00 AM Breakfast. This morning you will visit Mt Vernon, the home of George and Martha Washington. Lunch. This afternoon you will visit the Holocaust Museum (subject to appointment), Arlington National Cemetery where you will see President Kennedy's gravesite, view the Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and visit the Iwo Jima Memorial. Dinner, then check into your hotel.

SUNDAY
MARCH 23
7:00 AM Breakfast. This morning you will travel to Gettysburg, PA where you will tour the Battlefield making stops at Devil's Den and Little Round Top (weather permitting). Lunch. Return to Washington, D.C. This afternoon you will visit the National Archives Building and the American History Museum. Dinner. This evening you will tour Washington at night to include the Lincoln, Korean, Viet Nam and World War II Memorials.


MONDAY
MARCH 24
6:00 AM Breakfast. This morning you will visit the nation's Capitol Building (subject to appointment). Lunch. This afternoon you will visit Ford's Theatre, the Petersen House and the Education Center (subject to ticket availability). You will also visit the Air & Space Museum. Dinner. This evening you will visit the MLK, FDR and Jefferson Memorials.


TUESDAY
MARCH 25
7:00 AM Breakfast, then check out of your hotel. This morning you will travel to Williamsburg, VA. Lunch. This afternoon you will visit Jamestown Festival Park where you will visit the reconstructed James Fort, replicas of the three ships which transported the early settlers from England to the New World, the English Gallery Museum, Powhatan Gallery Museum and the Jamestown Gallery Museum. Afterwards you will visit Yorktown where General Cornwallis of the British Army surrendered to George Washington, thus ending the Revolutionary War. Visit a reconstructed Revolutionary War Camp and the Witness Gallery. Dinner. This evening you will participate in a Ghost Tour. Depart Williamsburg, VA for your return trip home.
