Kenya Service Trip

In June 2013 I will travel with St. Mary's church in Canandaigua, NY to the Diocese of Machakos, Kenya for 10 days. We will be participating in a variety of things, one of which is setting up a computer lab in the school, with used laptops that we will be bringing with us. We'll also be responsible for running a few classes on how to use the computers we bring with us. We'll also participate in a Sunday Mass in the village church. In the past I have done service locally and in Ecuador, this will be my first trip to Kenya!
Because the Diocese of Machakos is housing us, the main cost for this trip is for airfare, vaccinations, antimalarial prescription, a visa fee, meals to and from, and a few during our time there.
This is not a vacation, but a service exchange - to work with the poor in pursuit of solidarity toward the goal of making a change in the world. Thank you for your time and help, it is a tremendous blessing!
