Kendra got a kidney!

As most of you may know, I got very sick and lost both hands and both feet, as well as my kidney function. I had waited 5 very long years for a kidney transplant, and the day finally came! My surgery date was May 15th! We are trying to raise funds for hotel visits, food and gas money, as I have been traveling back and forth between Evansville and Indianapolis for 8 weeks and staying in a hotel the night before. We were going every other day for the 1st week. Then, twice a week for 3 weeks. After that, it was once a week for 3 more weeks. Now we're down to twice a month. We have set a very ambitious goal, because of the hotel we have picked. It is the very best handicapped accessible hotel in town and is right next to the hospital. The rate is around $60/night. We're asking that anyone and everyone contribute what they can to make sure I get the proper treatment I need after everything I have been through. I really need your help, whether it be a "share" or a donation, everything helps. We are running quite a bit low on our funds. Trust me when I tell you, I'm not trying to be greedy. I'm not motivated by money, I'm motivated by my health. IU will not pay for any financial assistance for the transplant recipient. We also want to say thank you to everyone who has been here for us since the very beginning. You guys have made such a difference in my life. There are several of you that I, personally, would not be alive without. Your support and never giving up on me means the world to me and the rest of our family.
