Dear Family and Friends
Today (11/30/2014) we lost Kirstyn Barnes to Rhabdomysarcoma which is a rare skeletal muscle cancer. Kirystn fought cancer for 3 strong years, after being diagnosed at the age of 14 in the 8th grade.
Kirstyn was a 17 year old Junior at Harmony School of Advancement who took pride in performing well in school and participating in various extracurricular activities.
She was surrounded by love from amazing family members and supportive friends.
On October 11, 2014, Young Ladies of Elegance and Young Men of Character honored Kirstyn Barnes at the 5th Annual Odessa Haywood Cancer Awareness Gala, presenting her with the most distinguished award, Cancer Survivor of the Year.
Young Ladies of Elegance and Young Men of Character have created this Go Fund account in hopes to raise money for burial purposes and other costs the family may have to pay.
