Tiny House, Big Dreams - Help Finishing

A few years ago, My husband and I bought 15 acres of property in Missouri, the land is now almost paid off and we have built the shell of a tiny house on it.

Currently we live and take care of my grandparents in thier house, 45 mins away from the property, while we continually work on finishing our Tiny House.

So far we have about half the insulation done inside and have bought a wood stove to put in, a sweet friend has donated a clawfoot tub for our bathroom building, and we have ordered our flooring for downstairs. But the heat of summer and my work schedule keep us from making it out to finish it.

Our goal is to move our there this winter, at least part of the time. So we can prepare for the next spring and be ready to start planting our gardens and growing our food. We have a lot ahead of us and not much family around to help.

We need things like paint, water vapor barrier, drywall and exterior house wrap, etc. We are looking for anything, leads on materials, freebies, doors/windows, you name it we are probably looking for it for some project we have going on.

As much as we hate to say it, money helps too. Which is why i've set this up, to raise some money to finish up the cabin at least enough to where we can move into it and actually be there to finish working on it, instead of being 45 mins away all the time.

We are grateful to all our friends and family who have taken an interest in our home and future. This project has really made our lives so much richer and, knowing that we will own and have a safe place to be has comforted us beyond belief. We hope that we inspire our friends and everyone out there to think about building tiny and to find out how free it feels to make the lifestyle change to tiny.
