On October 22, 2014 the Stake Family suffered a terrible loss. John "Johnny" E. Stake 18, a 2014 Assabet Valley Graduate, unexpectedly passed away. He left behind two parents, John E. Stake, Sr. of Worcester and Elizabeth “Liz” (Warren) Stake with whom he lived; his brother and sister, Logan and Chelsea both of West Boylston.
John was a loving, kind hearted young man who put everyone before himself. He will forever have an impact on the lives he touched not only his home community but also at Assabet.
