Help Ivan Learn from Hollywood's Best

Donation protected
In about 1 month I'll have the opportunity to be one of only 100 participants (currently with only 30 spots left!) in one of THE BADDEST FILMMAKER WORKSHOPS in the WORLD! (See the list below!)

How far I've come...and how far I can go
Since the last time I attended a workshop almost 3 years ago, I've filmed Rep. Paul Ryan, the announcement piece for RNC Chairman Reince Priebus, Milwaukee Brewers All-Star Corey Hart and countless other projects. You can see al my films at http://www.vimeo.com/ivanbarrafilms

Here's a personal favorite I did of my friend Darnell.

How you can help: DOnating and spreADING the word
You see I won't be able to get there unless I get some help. From kind people. Like yourself. So I'm asking that you consider DOnating or spreADING the word. No...no typos there. I did that on purpose. You see "DOnating" means you are active in helping me hone my craft. You are "doing" something to spread some more good in the world. And by spreADING the word, you're helping to "ADD" more people and attention to this. (Sorry, the last one was a stretch, but you get the point!)

How you can help: Prayer
I'd appreciate prayer! That's free! Perhaps you can't help give financially but your spiritual support would be awesome. Please make a commitment to pray for God to lead my path as I pursue this opportunity.

Hand-On approach
I will literally get the chance to ask questions of and participate in breakout sessions with these individuals over 4 days in Austin, Texas with the http://www.shooteditlearn.com workshop in the early part of December.

Who I'll be kickin' it with
Some of the talented and gifted individuals it will feature will be talent such as:

-Tak Fujimoto, Director of Photography of such films as "Ferris Bueller's Day Off", "The Sixth Sense", "Signs" and many more.

-Dan Lebenthal, Editor of Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Thor: The Dark World. His versatility across genres includes working on comedies, dramas, thrillers, documentaries, TV projects as represented by more than 20 movies and hundreds of music videos cut over the span of his career.

-Eliot Rausch, Director and Editor of many inspiring commercial works and of the short documentary "Last Minutes with Oden". As the kiddies say, "He's baller!"

-Alex Buono, A full-time cinematographer of indie films, music videos and at Saturday Night Live, where he has been the Director of Photography for the SNL Film Unit since 1999.

-Vincent LaForet, a three-time winner at the prestigious 2010 Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival. He is a director and Pulitzer Prize"“winning photographer who is known for his forward-thinking approach to image-making and storytelling. In addition to having been commissioned by just about every important international publication"”including Vanity Fair, The New York Times Magazine, National Geographic, Sports Illustrated, Time, Newsweek, and Life"”Vincent is considered a pioneer both for his innovative tilt-shift and aerial photography and in the field of HD-capable DSLR cameras. In fact, his short film Reverie, the first 1080p video shot with a still camera, was seen by more than 2 million times on the first week of its release in 2009. Vincent is a member of the Director's Guild of America and a DP with Local 600.

-Philip Bloom, Commercial Director of Photography and internet pioneer of cost-effective filmmaking. He's worked with Lucasfilms on 'Red Tails' as well as many other projects. https://vimeo.com/39453069

And many more...

What your funds will be used for
Your funds will help me secure a place at the workshop ($900) and the airfare to get to (and very importantly FROM) Austin and Milwaukee.

Anything above my goal amount will go towards covering my hotel for 5 nights and all the meals I'll need to buy.

Rewards
Rewards are listed below but include 2 very important things:

1)A handwritten THANK YOU (if you provide your address to me).

2) Prayer for you. I mean it. Seriously.

Any and all gifts are appreciated. My next personal project I want to work on is for a non-profit that provides recreational and respite programs for youth and adults with developmental disabilities. If you choose one the levels that correspond, you can be listed as a producer of that film.

Thank you!
Thanks so much for your consideration. It means a lot to me that you've read about this incredible opportunity and I hope that you can feel like you're investing in something good. Take care and God bless!
