Ice Stars for Wounded Warriors 2015

The mission of Ice Stars for Wounded Warriors is to promote awareness and raise funds for our military men and women who return home suffering from the "Invisible Wounds" of Post-Traumatic Stress and/or Traumatic Brain Injury through a series of fundraisers and community-building events concentrated in western Massachusetts.
This is our fifth year running the eponymous Ice Stars for Wounded Warriors event. We begin our annual 2-day special event with a Military/Civil Service Hockey Tournament on Friday April 24, 2015. The fun continues with a parade on Saturday afternoon. Come watch as UMass Students and Athletes, ROTC Army & Air Force members, marching bands from around the Pioneer Valley, the Shriners, Hot Rods, the Buffalo Soldiers motorcycle group, Miss Massachusetts and many other great organizations proudly march through Amherst to honor our military! Our event closes Saturday evening with an Ice Show featuring Olympic and internationally-renowned figure skaters from across the USA, in addition to the UMass Trumpet Ensemble.
We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that donates our money to the Wounded Warrior Project and the Home Base Program of New England. The Home Base Program is supported by the Red Sox Foundation and is based in Massachusetts General Hospital. Last year we raised $25,000- with $16,000 towards the Home Base Program and $9,000 that was donated to the Wounded Warrior Project.
A donation of any size is greatly appreciated. Additionally, if you want to make a donation in honor of a member of the military that name will be displayed front and center at our event.
