NE CELEBRITY HOT DOG EATING CHAMPIONSHIP
TO BENEFIT PEOPLE'S CITY MISSION
July 20th @ NOON: The Shoppes at Piedomont
The inaugural Nebraska Hot Dog Eating Championship is Kicking off June 20th, and proceeds are benefiting the People's City Mission. Come out to The Shoppes at Piedmont (Cotner & A) at noon to watch the Nebraska Celebrities battle for dominance in the world of competitive eating with Nathan's Famous Hot Dogs.
Competitive advantages will be given to each celebrity based on the amount they fundraise. Choose which celebrity you wish to give the competitive advantage so he/she may come home with the GLORY! (and trophy, but it's really about the GLORY!)
Fundraising Level 'Boosters':
(per each individual contestant)
$250 = Add 0:30
$500 = Add another 0:30
$750 = 4 Hot Dog BONUS: Give 4 hot dogs to the crowd & have them counted (extra time is dropped)
$1,250 = 1.5 Multiplier
$2,000 = Switch with a fresh eater halfway through
(due to low donations so far, we have cut the competitive advantages in half as of Monday June 15th)
ABOUT PEOPLE'S CITY MISSION:
Our mission is to feed, shelter and provide medical care to the homeless and impoverished, while sharing the good news about Jesus Christ.
In the past year we:
• Served over 162,000 meals to the homeless. (That averages about 450 meals a day!)
• Gave away over 752,900 pounds of food at our Homeless Prevention Center.
• Provided shelter to over 1,800 men, women and children staying in our shelter.
• Provided over 17,000 patient visits to Lincoln's uninsured seeking medical care at our Free Medical Clinic.
