Thank you for taking the time to visit our donation site. The Homeless Advocate Program is a Houston based group designed to assist Houston's homeless community. Volunteers of the Homeless Advocate Program personally engage with the homeless, assess their personal needs and make decisions on the best course of action which to provide to the homeless individual. The process is not only time consuming but costly as well. This is why we are turning to the public for assistance. Often times a homeless person is looking to obtain an ID card, bus fare, clothing, personal hygiene products, bus tickets/mega bus tickets to travel to cities where they're able to reunite with others that can help them get on their feet and at times, money used to "refill" cell phone minutes. HAP volunteers are unable to personally support these requests financially all the time on their own, and this is why we are turning to our loved ones, friends and supporters of the Homeless Advocate Program.
Any and all funds received will go directly towards helping Houston's homeless. Maybe you're unable to volunteer in assisting the homeless due to time constraints or you just don't know how to get involved however your donation will greatly assist not only HAP but directly the individual who is in need.

**Note: HAP does not give cash to individuals if items are needed. For example, if one needs bus fare then HAP will purchase a bus card. If another is in need of a Mega-Bus ticket then HAP will make the purchase and give the ticket to the person in need. Same goes for clothing items or any other items requested. HAP will make the purchases for each individual. We want to make certain that specific needs are being met and we want to ensure that public donations obtained are used accordingly.
