We want to thank every person...

We want to thank every person who has donated, shared the link, &/or offered us emotional support. This is going to be a long road, but we know we can do it with all of your help. Please continue to share the link with your friends & donate if you can. As long as we continue to receive support we will be able to continue fighting. We know that this is nothing more than a malicious suit to help Leann receive attention and sympathy. I mean, do you honestly believe she cares that a few thousand people heard her foul mouth? She has made sure that the media was well aware of the call, her rehab stint, & this ridiculous lawsuit. She had zero expectation of privacy & she is using her money to bully us into revealing legal names of people on Twitter, her legal fees, & an apology. All while she allows the paps take pictures of her life. Privacy? Please!! She's a bully with money...period.

Leann Rimes with her high-priced attorney are suing Kimberly & Lexi Smiley, a mother & daughter who made the mistake of answering her call in March of 2012. Leann went out of her way to get information about this teacher & mother of six, she then called her & cussed at her for 55 minutes. After 35 minutes the mother became anxious about the things Leann was saying & asked her daughter to record the call, which was on speaker phone, on her iPhone. Leann called from a very busy restaurant in the heart of Malibu, with two people she had met on Twitter. There were not only her guests, but the restaurants staff & patrons who could hear what she was saying. Leann had no expectation of privacy (Something she would have to prove to make the recording illegal. CA is a two-party consent state, but there are exceptions & an expectation of privacy is one of those exceptions.), yet she continues with this lawsuit knowing full well how it will impact this family financially & emotionally. Leann's attorney has also suggested that they will go after Mrs. Smiley's teaching position, claiming that once they release her PRIVATE tweets, her employer will not be happy. Who's invading whose privacy?

Leann knew that the call was recorded in March 2012, yet she waited until August 30th to file the suit. Leann could have sent a cease & desist letter to the Smileys, preventing them from allowing others to listen to it, but she waited. Leann is also well aware that the Smileys had nothing to do with publishing the recording online, as her attorney sent a cease & desist letter to the person who had. Though, they have failed to mention this to the media, making it appear that Kim & Lexi, not only posted the call, but also created a blog entitled lunaticleannrimes.blogspot.com; all of this is false & Leann knows this. She has yet to name the person responsible for placing the call online or created the blog, rather she has focused on the Smileys.

Prior to filing the suit Leann spent all of August celebrating her 30th birthday & giving exclusive interviews to People Magazine etc, about how happy she was! The day after her birthday she staged an elaborate "checking into rehab" scheme & had her people contact every news organization they could. This gave her sympathy the day before she filed a suit against a family of 8, seeking hundreds of thousands in damages, plus her attorney fees (her attorney charges $900 an hour)! Because she had made her checking into rehab for stress & anxiety, due to Twitter, so public, the lawsuit has been in over a thousand newspapers, magazines, online mags, & blogs using Kimberly & Lexi's names. Because she's a celebrity & has access to the media, they are printing her side of the story only & making the Smileys seem like horrible bullies.

Kimberly's & Lexi's Twitter accounts are private, yet Leann has gained access to their private tweets & is using them in the lawsuit, as well as releasing them to certain media outlets. Leann blocked Kimberly in December of 2010 & Lexi in March 2011 when they followed a Brandi Glanville supporter & eventually Brandi (Leann's current husbands ex-wife & mother of his 2 children). There's no reason for Leann to even read their tweets, let alone seek out personal information & call her.
