Road To X Games With Jonathan Stark!

Hey guys! My name is Jonathan Stark, a 27 yr old paraplegic from Pittsburgh, Pa. I am also an adaptive extreme sports enthusiast! A few years back after being wheelchair bound for 6 years, I decided it was time to get back on a dirt bike and pursue my wildest childhood dream of racing motocross. I thought that was all ripped away when I was ejected from my car traveling to school one morning, leaving me paralyzed from the chest down. Laying in the hospital for 85 days, it allowed me to shape out my future. And I certainly never thought I would get to ride again, let alone race at a fairly competitive level. But growing up it was my childhood best friend, and mine, dream to race motocross one day. And when he passed away a few years back I vowed to live out that dream, at all cost. Fast forward a few years later, I've received an incredible phone call to race adaptive snow bikes in the winter X Games!! To anybody who isn't aware of what The X Games are, it's basically the olympics for action sports. Which is an honor to get invited to compete with the greatest athletes in the world! I about shed a tear when I got this phone call. But it also brought a lot of weight on my shoulders. In order to compete, I would need a 450 with a full over head roll cage, a timbersled attachment, rekluse clutch, an electronic tip-tronic shifter,and a few other mods. And being such short notice, that poses a real challenge. I have until December 20th to build, test, tune, make a video resume and send it in for my official invite. I've reached out to several companies, businesses and haven't been having much luck. I've always been one to earn my way, and absolutely despise asking for handouts. I have always done everything on my own time and dime and I've tried to never overstep my boundaries. But with such a unique opportunity at hand, at such short notice, I have to swallow my pride and do whatever I have to, to make this once in a life time opportunity a reality.
