Hi there!
This is a picture of me and my family. It's just mum and myself. We're small, but we're strong :)
Last year I was fortunate enough to attend my first year at the New England Conservatory of Music. I am an opera major and very passionate about my career.
Last year was also when mum got sick. There were a lot of complications and extenuating circumstances that caused her to have to take a lot of time off work. The medical bills started piling up, and it took a lot out of our tiny family.
I miss my mum. I love my mum. She is my everything. I spent my summer taking care of her in the hopes that she would get better, and in part, she did. However, things are still in the works of improvement and money has continued to be an issue. I'm trying to get as much scholarship and grant money as possible, but I still desperately need to go to school here to pursue my own life goals.
Please, please help this cause. It's just us two and we need the charity of others now more than ever.
Update: Things aren't looking too good right now for me staying in school this year. There was an issue with one of my loans and it's looking like I may have to drop out of my sophomore year at NEC. Again, PLEASE help!
