Diagnosis
I am Brandon, I'm diagnosed with OCD, General and Social anxiety, Depression, and recently been diagnosed so I am put on the Autism Spectrum.
Goal
I am trying to raise funds to adopt a dog that'll go through training to gain the special skills to help with my illnesses. The cost for a trained dog is relative towards the skills needed. I have spoken with a company who trains Psych. Service dogs, and they can help once I have the funds. I will also need the funds for dog food, treats, toys, and the medical bills.
Recent History
I have admitted myself to the Psych ward twice because of being suicidal and I had a plan, part of the plan I put into action in which I failed. I then admitted myself to a Mental Illness treatment center for 5 months, and from there I moved to where I live now which is a mental health board and lodge.
Why I'd Like A Service Dog..
Ever since I was a child my parents gave me a puppy that was always by my side. Her name was Sasha, and if I was on the couch or sleeping she was next to me. She passed away while I was in High School.
History of Bad Luck..
The summer before Freshman year of High School. I was in the hospital for 3 whole months. I was eventually diagnosed with Lyme encephalitis after weeks of being poked, tested, and 5 spinal taps later. I started my Freshman year pale, and with a pic line from my arm to my heart for antibiotics.
Freshman year of college I started in a walker and a pic line for antibiotics due to another infection. Whenever I would stand for a long period my ankle would swell and be extremely painful. I had surgery to remove an extra piece of bone, and while I was recovering they found an infection. I had to have another surgery to remove the infection, so now I have arthritis which gets painful whenever I stand.
Blog my new life not running from my illnesses..
I have started to blog to help with working on researching, posting movie reviews, and mostly blogging my life with a Service dog and the stigma that goes with it. I'm a movie buff, and I enjoy researching like an investigative journalist about social, economical, and political issues. My sister recommended that I start my own blog. This way I can blog about my service dog, movies, TV shows, etc.
