PANDA IS A VICTIM OF ANIMAL CRUELTY WHO WAS ABDUCTED, BEATEN AND LEFT FOR DEAD.

We've raised our goal to help with tracking down his killer. We need to hire a private investigator, dog tracker, post a reward, and whatever ways that can help to track his killer. Thanks!

GOFUNDME has removed Panda's before and after photos because they said it's too graphic.

THE COLORFUL LIFE OF PANDA

Panda is an energetic 6 years old, male, tuxedo cat.
This angel came to our lives back in December 2009 and not only we fell in love with him immediately but also everyone in the family and among our friends. He's a rescued stray. He's a very sociable cat, almost dog-like personality. When you call his name, he'll come to you right away. He always make sure to make you feel warm and welcome. He's very affectionate loves to give kisses. He gets along with everybody and other fellow animals like cats, dogs, and birds. He's patient and generous. If other cats takes his food, he'll just let them have it. He always puts the other cats first before himself. Such a sweet & warm loving cat.
A cuddle bear and a massager (he loves to massage armpits & belly!). If he's sleeping next to you, he will take over your pillow and park his butt on your face. He loves to play hide and seek and the chasing game. Panda is funny to watch when he runs because he wiggles his big butt. He's so adorable and handsome. He's a known collector of rubber bands. If you have one he will find them. He loves to play soccer <<WATCH THE VIDEO>> and play with strings. He loves technology like laying on top of the laptop or by the tv. He's fascinated with it. He gives you a sign what he wants or wherever he wants to go. He would always knock when you go to the bathroom or the other rooms. He enjoys water & watch it flow. He will accompany you while your're in the shower.
He demands to drink out of the faucet because he likes fresh water. He's a really smart and caring. If there's someone arguing or having misunderstandings, he tries to break it off.
He loves to talk. It always feels like Panda wanted to be human. He seems to have an understanding of things that other cats don't really care about. An explorer and an adventurer. Panda been in many places like various beach, parks, lakes, and even the cemetery. He gets really excited when a package arrives.
He always helps upwrap it then he'll play inside the box.
He's also into fashion, if your getting ready to put your clothes and shoes on, he would always like to check them out and play with shoe laces. We love him so much and we look forward having new adventures with him when he recovers.

HORRENDOUS ACT OF CRUELTY

8/21/14.Thursday @ 9pm - THE NIGHT HE WAS ABDUCTED.
We usually let our cats walk in the hallway, so they can run freely. Because they're indoor cats we can't really let them outside. We're afraid they'll get lost. They usually stay close and doesn't wander far unless you accompany or chase them. So it's pretty safe. While taking  out the trash which is two doors down from our unit. Takes less than a minute. Panda was gone which was very odd because our other cat was still around but acted weird and was running back towards us like someone was just there. This made us suspect that someone from our building had taken him. We're located on the very top floor and the only way to get out is if someone opens the door for him. We were immediately alarmed and started looking inside the apartment. We thought maybe he went back in but that was impossible because our door was closed.
It seems like someone had taken him. It would be someone who lives in the building that could've easily taken Panda inside their apartment & shut the door. Because he's a friendly cat unlike the other cat who's fearful and would ran away real fast. We knocked at everyone's door on every floors to ask if they had seen/found a black & white cat. Most said they didn't see him, some didn't open the door or maybe not home. We were distraught to think that someone did this. Normal thing to do if you find/see a cat or a dog with no visible owner in a hallway, is to knock at people's door and find his/her home, not take them! It's hard to sleep or even eat knowing a family member has gone missing. Made a quick ad and posted it in the elevator, the lobby, mailbox and front entrance for everyone to see. We started searching outside, calling out his name. We combed through the whole building and close surroundings where he could have gone, but nothing. We were worried sick. Wondering where he is and if he has food to eat. We decided to call the cops to file a missing report but we weren't taken seriously because we were reporting a cat and not a person. Animals should have the same rights as humans do especially they can't speak or defend for themselves among sick scums out there.

8/22/14 THE FOLLOWING DAY - Finally made a new ad with his picture. Went to the elevator and saw the ad ripped off the wall. This will anger you, because If you read the ad, someone is obviously looking for the cat that went missing. So why would someone rip it off? That's just not a normal thing to do.
That didn't stop us for posting a new one, then posted ads outside in every corner where everyone can see. Posted an ad on Craigslist, anything that can help find him. We called the shelters and animal control to see maybe someone had found or surrendered him but no luck. We looked around again but no sign of Panda. We exhausted every single options we can think of.

LATER THAT DAY 4pm - Decided to do laundry which was in the garage level. After putting the clothes in the washer, decided to head back up. Noticed that someone had written a note on the ad in the elevator. The note says, "YOUR CAT IS DEAD BEHIND THE GARAGE DOOR, SOMEBODY KILLED HIM." Thought that was a SICK MESSED UP JOKE. We decided to check it out. And there we saw a black looking cat. He was just sitting so we took a closer look. Then we called his name and his tail responded. IT WAS PANDA AND HE'S ALIVE! We felt a slight relief to find him but also in deep shocked for what had happened to him. He was unrecognizable compare to what he looked like before this incident. We could barely see his white coat marks. Examined his face and we were horrified. He was covered in blood, urine and dirt. His face was fractured severely and eyes popped out and was having a hard time breathing. It was heart breaking to see him in that state,
we couldn't see his beautiful bright yellow eyes and his handsome face. He looked dehydrated and hungry because we assumed he hasn't eaten since he went missing. We quickly picked him up rushed to the aparment to put him in his carrier and wrapped him in atowel. We were anxious to get him to the emergency hospital because we know his condition is critical but we hit traffic. It was so scary. We reassured him that he's now safe and that he'll be okay. He seemed relieved and was waggin' his tail, even though he was in a very excruciating pain, he is very resilient. Can't imagine how much pain he was going through but its pretty extreme. Imagine yourself in his shoes as a human being, It's terrifying. What a brave boy and a tough cookie he is!!!

SPCA VETERINARY HOSPITAL - We got him in and they rushed him in for examination. They gave him methadone for his pain and catheter. We anxiously waited. Then finally, the Doctor came out and explained had a talk with us. She informed us the severity of Panda's condition and the injuries he sustained, what procedures he'll need to try to repair the damages and what steps we should take. She told us it will take time to recover and the procedures and costs. So they went ahead and transferred us to VCA VETERINARY SPECIALIST. Where he'll be monitored and stabilized for 24 hours. This is where all his procedures will take place because he needs a specialist and a 24 hour facility due the extreme condition & severity of his injuries. They also examined him here. The Doctor here told us tha he was possibly hit by a blunt object like a baseball bat. So an animal abuser on the loose abducted him and left him near death. Sickening how some scums out there are capable of doing this. Then we said our goodbyes and they told us we can visit him again during visiting hours the following day.

LATER THAT NIGHT - We finally got home, noticed the ad on the front entrance is now gone. Like who would know we finally found him. It's another mystery person who we are suspecting that did all this. He/She ripped off my first ad, then wrote a note saying, "Your cat is dead behind the garage door, Somebody killed him! First of all, that person didn't even dare to call or knock on the door. Who does that? From the looks of it, this is all done by the same person and is the one who abducted and beaten our dear Panda near death. Those scums probably thought Panda is dead. We went down to the garage again where we found him to investigate.
We discovered blood trails leading to what seemed to me one of the crime scene. Behind the gate where we found him, like the note said. We didn't find these evidence when we first found Panda. All we were thinking about was to get him to the hospital as fast as we can to save him. Carefully examined the blood and came to a conclusion that this is where they did part of the crime. Like the Doctor said, he was hit by a blunt object, like a baseball bat or something (could be kicked with boots too). His eye are dried out and the right one popped and looks like it happened 24 hours ago. He was already injured. Then it all leads behind the garage door, where we found him. This happened before 4pm before I went to do laundry room. Also, that morning and lunch time those bloods weren't there nor Panda. From blood trails and urine stains. It show signs of a struggle. He tried to escape the perpetrator(s). Then behind the door where we found him is where the second time Panda was attacked. We have a pretty good idea how he/she/they cornered Panda & caught him by the door. Repeatedly hitting him with the heavy duty door to the concrete wall, resulting his severe facial fractures. Also, the outside door handle jammed from hitting the concrete walls. That door was easy to open before this happened. It was clearly damaged from this incident.

Now it's very clear that this perpetrator(s) abducted and intended to murder Panda, an innocent little cat. They assumed his dead but he survived. THIS IS AN ATTEMPTED MURDER BY AN ANIMAL ABUSER WHO'S ON THE LOOSE.

CALLED THE POLICE - Now that we know for sure that there was a real crime committed to Panda with evidences to match. We contacted the Authorities to file a report. The officer found everything to be accurate. The Officer knocked at people's door and questioned them. He will try to find who did this and will investigate further. We are glad that he took us seriously because some people wouldn't especially when it comes to animals unfortunately. We both documented everything and the Officer will get come back to question some people of interest. We don't know who did it for sure but there's a few interesting parties.

PENINSULA HUMANE SOCIETY INVESTIGATORS - The following day we got in touch with them. They also took samples and pictures of the crime scene. We gave all the pictures and the broken teeth we found.

WE WON'T STOP FIGHTING AND CAN'T STOP TO HAVE JUSTICE FOR OUR DEAR BELOVED PANDA UNTIL WE GET TO THE BOTTOM OF WHO'S RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS HORRIFIC CRIME. THINK ABOUT IF THIS HAPPENS TO ONE OF YOU & YOUR FAMILY & LOVED ONES...YOU WOULD DO THE SAME THING WE'RE DOING. LETS NOT FORGET SOMETHING HERE, THAT JUST BECAUSE PANDA IS CONSIDERED "JUST A CAT" DOESN'T MEAN HE DOESN'T HAVE THE SAME RIGHT AS WE HUMANS DO. PANDA NEEDS YOUR ASSISTANCE EVEN MORE BECAUSE HE CAN'T SPEAK OR DEFEND HIMSELF.

**Please keep sharing guys! We haven't been sleeping trying to raise as much as possible. We're calling everyone we know. Any amount helps. I had to take out loan to pay for this. His treatment/procedures will cost $10,000. We need to raise more funds for later... We needed to pay upfront to get him started or they won't be able to do work on him. I know it sucks. They need to change that policy. All of this will go towards paying off his bills. We really need to get this going so they can start some of other procedures asap to get him closer to recovery. For all who donated and shared. Thank you so much!!!

*We visited Panda at VCA tonight. He was really happy and was wagging his tail. I think he got excited to see us, he tried to get up a few times but he's still weak so he needs more rest. :)
