How often do you see or hear (in the media) a dark skin woman being praised for beauty? 

How often do you hear a dark skin woman sharing positive life experiences?

Fact is, 80% of Black American females do not resemble the light skin icons of beauty shown in the media. We love Halle Berry, Beyonce Knowles-Carter, Mariah Carey-Cannon and what about the luscious Naomi Campbell, Kelly Rowland (of Destiny's Child), Whoopi Goldberg, Diana Ross and countless other satisfied, happy dark girls?

Directory Dee Dee Russell is the original Happy Dark Girl an award winning  independent producer. Lauded for  DEE DEE TV "Best of San Francisco" the 16 year old public cable access TV program, she has opened her dark and lovely life to San Francisco viewers making her a beloved cult figure and resulting in more awards for the show.
