Hannah's Fund: Surviving & thriving

Hello,
My name is Rachel Driskell and this is a fundraising effort for my little sister, Hannah Driskell-Lacy.
Hannah is a vibrant and creative 21 year old. She is the mother of a beautiful nine month old baby boy and works full time as a Catering Manager. Her most recent ambition is to become a bridal consultant and eventually have her own event planning business.
Since the beginning of 2015 she has been working hard towards this goal.
On 6/05/2015, Hannah was diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer-currently in stage two. None of us were prepared for this news or the expenses that are following. Even with insurance, her immediate medical co-payments equal $10,000.00. + Neither her nor our family have this money on hand.
We are moving forward with a CT scan that will cost Hannah $1,023.00 after insurance. This will be followed by surgery to remove the cancer, which may be followed by RAI- radioactive iodine treatment. Hannah will needless to say be off work for a while, it's my hope that we can raise this money over a month's time and remove at least the monetary worry from this difficult experience.
The RAI treatment (possibly) and full body scans (certainly) will be required every year to monitor her for any recurrence of the cancer. It is my hope that this fund will not just assist Hannah in the present, but also help jump start her recovery in the future.
Hannah truly is the most hopeful person I know, she has a beautiful, courageous soul and the world is a better place because she is in it. I know that with all the love that surrounds Hannah, we can raise this first part of her healthcare expenses and help her regain the life she loves.
