Heroines Against Heroin

Donation protected
Drug addiction is rapidly becoming an even bigger problem, especially in the state of Connecticut. With heroin so easily accessible now, anyone can get it without knowing the severe adverse effects that come with it. Whether the lack of knowledge is due to our school systems not teaching it, families not knowing how to talk about it, friends not knowing how to handle it, or just a stigma around the topic in general, something needs to be done. People (especially the youth of CT) are quickly getting wrapped up in heavy drugs, with no way to escape from it once they're hooked. Resources to get help are much less prevalent than they need to be. After seeing too many people reach out for help, be denied, and end up dead, a stand needs to be taken. We want to initiate the Heroines Against Heroin project by spreading awareness about our mission and how our community can help.

We are starting out by planning two events, one on Friday, August 21st, and another on Saturday, August 22nd. These events will showcase a variety of performances, with the overall theme being to spread awareness about the drug problem. In order to pursue this mission, we would like to raise funds so we can pay for necessities such as booking fees, printing flyers, and promoting our message. Any help would be greatly appreciated, whether it is a monetary donation or sharing our page.
