New York Conservatory Fund (NYCDA)

My name is Alexandra Elizabeth Smith and I am from the UK.I have been awarded a place at New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts with part of a scholarship. I was meant to attend this fall (August) however due to the high costs of funds and everything else that comes with moving countries I have had to postpone my place which can only be held for a year.
Due to student visa restrictions I am not permitted to get a job while I'm over there and therefore would struggle to support myself, which is why I am taking this year to earn and save as much as I can, but even then, it will be a struggle.
If you were kind enough to contribute to my fund you will be paying towards my college fees while I'll be paying for everything else; Visa, flights, room and board, books and supplies, local transportation and other miscellaneous items.
By helping to pay for my course I will be learning the techniques of Stanislavski and Meisner, the art of improvisation and to sharpen my comic timing with workshops. I will also have movement lessons and learn the history in film and TV. But that's not all, by going to NYCDA am encouraged to find an internship with top casting directors to learn the other side of the business first hand.
All my life all I have ever wanted to be on the stage or in front of a camera. I have a burning passion and desire to continue learn and create any experience to further me with my craft. As you can see this is a once in a lifetime experience and I don't want anything to stop me from getting my lifelong dream.
