Sutich Family Recovery Fund

Donation protected
As you can see in the picture, the Geoff and Lauren Sutich family is privileged with the task of raising four lovely children; Josselyn (10), Dylan (8), Marly (5), Cody (3).

In the heart of the financial crisis, Geoff lost his job, subsequently relocating to northern Idaho to be closer to his Mother Jill who was helpful to the family in such difficult times.  After a couple challenging years without employment, Geoff landed a great job and was starting to get back on track in life.  Most of you would know the challenges associated with a long period without income; and while it was nice to have some money rolling in each month, re-building one's life and crawling out of a financial hole takes time.  Particularly supporting a family of six.  Lauren meanwhile kept home and hearth as best she could while keeping an eye on scarce resources.  The kids are doing great.

On Tuesday afternoon, May 12th, Geoff was out on the baseball field in his role as coach for the kid's team.  That day will be long remembered by the Sutich family; Geoff experienced a cardiac event that lead to a collapse, CPR, hospitalization, and the complete stoppage of time for his dear family while they await news of Geoff's stabilization and slow road to recovery.

At this writing things are still unclear for Geoff.  And while his family keeps their focus on his health, a few of their friends are trying to put this GoFundMe request for help out to the broader community.

One thing is very clear; this dear family will be without income for a period of time.  Rent, car payment, insurance, food... the neccessities of life we are all familiar with.  It may be several months... can you please help?

UPDATE: May 15th:  Sadly, this campaign has taken on a whole new meaning for Lauren and the kids; last night they lost their beloved husband and daddy.  While Geoff’s heart and vital organs survived the cardiac arrest and seemed to return to normal function, Geoff’s brain did not get enough vital support and never recovered.  Geoff passed away in the early hours of the evening May 14th, 2015.

In death, as in life, Geoff had a passion for helping others.  After a life always being willing to help out his family, coach and participate in the kids sporting events, and be a helping friend to those around him; Geoff has given the wonderful gift of life through organ donation as well.

Please join us in trying to help the family get back on their feet after this loss.
