Help Fat Yoga

On April 22, 2015 Fat Yoga was subject to a break in causing serious property damage. This left the studio in shambles!
Trying to see the positive in this situation, we can use this opportunity to do some much-needed improvements to the studio!
Anna (Fat Yoga founder) has mentioned to us before that the only thing that kept Fat Yoga’s studio from being 100% accessible was the bathroom. In addition to the repairs to the studio Anna plans on making the bathroom 100% accessible during this time so the studio can come back from this bigger; better; fatter.
Fat Yoga, for many of us, served not only as a studio space but also as a community space. While this blow has hurt the studio, perhaps with some help and kindness, we can be up and downward-dogging in no time.
Throughout the upcoming weeks, it’ll take many people to make sure Fat Yoga is restored to its bodacious, body-positive glory. We are asking for donations to help recoup some of the losses of the technology, and begin fixing the space so we can all can use it once again!
In the spirit of 100% accountability, we plan on documenting everything that we use. All of the unused proceeds will go to Rose Haven, an trans-affirmative organization that offers compassion, practical assistance, and community to all women and children facing loss of home, abuse and other disruptive life experiences in Portland.
