Hello gentle soul,
Our friend needs our help. Sheri is one of the MOST GIVING people we know. When Hurricane Sandy struck NY, she immediately jumped into action to gather food and supplies to help people in need—regardless of the fact that she didn’t personally know anyone living there. Sheri widely procured donations from across Berkshire County, MA to deliver a Full Truckload of supplies—and fast! Sheri has a sweet, giving heart and has done SO MUCH for SO MANY. From taking care of her dying mother (at just age 18) to nursing her father back to health several times, to delivering fresh garden cut flowers from her own garden to a person who needs a cheery hello, Sheri is always there when needed—and never needing to be asked.
A certified Reiki practitioner, she is always willing to provide free sessions to those in need. In setting up her business, she is of such integrity that she wanted to be within reach of everybody, no matter the usual rate. Sheri is willing to drop everything in order to help out, and unlike most, she is willing to get her hands dirty.
Now, Sheri needs our help. She suffers an auto-immune illness that has resulted in a 2-year battle with a serious foot growth that now requires major surgery on Oct. 14. For 2 years, she received a painful treatment every other week—only to find out that the treatments didn’t work, because she has a growing tumor in her foot causing severe nerve pain and interfering with basic life necessities, such as getting proper sleep. Sheri is self-employed, and any time out of work is financially stressful. The surgery is extensive and will require skin grafting. Her recovery is expected to take at least 8 weeks (just before the holidays). She has a bright, focused son in college who also is scheduled for major surgery, just before Christmas. Sheri needs to be fully back on her feet to care for her son during his own recovery. Bills are due. Insurance will not pay all their medical expenses.
We are hoping that you can help Sheri (and believe us—she is the LAST person that will ask for help). Any amount you are able to give will help her financially and is deeply appreciated. This site will be open for at least the eight weeks that she is out of work, recovering from the surgery, so you could donate small amounts a variety of times, if that is helpful to you.
