Danielle Has Helped So Many In Her Short Years and She Needs Our Help Again.

We are raising money for two things.
1. Danielle's Immediate Medical Needs and Mounting Medical Bills - $500k
2. Danielle's Dream - for her work and passion of healing humans and horses to continue. Danielle has learned so much through her illness and wants teach others so Drop Your Reins will continue.

Danielle's life changed drastically 5 years ago after bumping her leg riding a horse and her excruciating pain started. She was diagnosed with CRPS Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (highest pain known), EDS Elders Danlos (a defect in her connective tissue) and her autonomic nervous system is not working properly so she also has Dyautonomia, Every joint and organs are affected and compromised. These conditions are rare by themselves but combined are extremely rare. She has been misunderstood and abused by the medical community because they don't have answers for her. She suffers daily and at present is making weekly trips to ER along with extended hospitalization still necessary.

She moved away from her horses for 2 years because the horses reminded her of what she had lost and were the source of more pain. She could not physically do her work with kids in her clinics. She and her mother put their work. Drop Your Reins on hold to focus on finding help for Danielle's health.

Danielle's heart ached and life seemed pointless being away from her horses. She spent her days in her bedroom and the many hospital rooms in isolation and pain. She was deteriorating mentally, physically and emotionally. An occasional trip to see a horse only left her missing her own horses more. She benefited in more ways than initially was thought.
This summer she was able to reunite with her horses. She moved back to the farm to be with her horses. Seeing them from the distance of the house was the beginning of healing and eventually she was able to go brush them. Touching them and connecting to them brought so much healing to her soul. She gets all her physical therapy being with them. Emotionally the benefits are too much to mention.


Danielle has always said, "You can see the real you through the horses view."

Danielle and her mom, Marianne are developing more of a multi sensory understanding with the horses help. They are learning more about non verbal communication, deeper connection to our environments through our senses, touching through more than our hands, broadening our ability to perceive our environment and ways of feeling the world and life in the moment using present moment awareness.
