Our goal is to raise at least $15,000.00 to purchase one or two used fifteen (15) passenger VAN to transport our youth during summer camp and also transport the youth for the other activities during the rest of the year. Also during summer camp we normally have to rent a bus or use public transportation in order to transport the youth on our weekly trip.
We would also use the van to transport our senior citizens at least once a month to designated shopping areas free of charge so they can have a means of transportation to the mall and supermarket.
Your consideration in helping us towards our goal of obtaining these two needed vehicles is well appreciated. NO DONATION IS TOO SMALL.
DOT OBJECTIVES
The major aim of the DOT Organization is to provide an opportunity for students who are traditionally considered to be economically, socially and/or academically disadvantaged to realize their full potential.
• Help students to develop good study habits;
• Provide academic instruction and tutoring;
• Provide counseling services;
• Provide an atmosphere wherein students feel free to make their concerns, opinions, fears and aspirations known;
• Enrich students social relationships and increase their cultural awareness;
• Aid students in developing self concepts that are conducive to academic achievement and personal aspirations;
• Introduce students to various career and educational options; and
• Serve as a resource that informs students of other services that might be beneficial to their needs.
WHAT CAN I DO TO HELP DOT?
• Designate DOT as my United Way Agency
• Make DOT the receiver of my employer's Matching Funds Program
• Participate in my company's Volunteer Program with DOT
• Talk to my HR Personnel for other ways I can help DOT
• Make an individual financial donation to DOT
• Participate in DOT’s fundraisers
• Sponsor a fundraiser for DOT
• Sponsor a youth in one of DOT's programs
• Tell others about DOT
