East Amwell History/Clawson House

Donation protected
The Clawson House is a very important structure in the Ringoes Historic District, having been built circa 1800 as probably the nicest residence in the village.  Restoration of this house has been a drawn out struggle and our ability to continue and complete this project relies on your generosity.  When Clawson house is completed, we envision it being utilized by all our local citizens.  It is destined to be the Township museum, which will house the Quick Collection as well as historical items collected by the East Amwell Historical Society.  The building will be open to the public for viewing township memorabilia and local research, and will contain a meeting room to accommodate local groups.  It will also be the new home of the East Amwell Historical Society.
Our goal is to complete interior restoration by 2018.  You can become involved in this worthwhile process through your financial support.  Please go to our website:  eastamwellhistory.org.  This is your opportunity to join us in transforming the Clawson House into a museum and community center to promote and preserve East Amwell History for current and future generations.
