Hello all, and thanks for visiting!
We have reached postseason play and are the current defending State Champions for Oregon. We are just a handful of games away from going to represent Oregon in the Western Regionals for the Little League Seniors Division. Last season we made it to regionals and we were the first Oregon team to make it that far in nearly 30 years. This is an outstanding accomplishment for a great group of 15-17 year olds and shows them how much their hard work has paid off. As you all probably know, the Little League Organization is a non profit and is strictly run by volunteers. This means they have limited resources, especially at the local levels. Last year our cost to make the trip to California was just over $21000 which ends up being $1750/player for the 12 going. In postseason play we are not allowed to fundraise for tournament play until we have reached that time and that leaves us very little time to come up with funds to support our boys. We are now down to about 2 weeks before we need to make firm arrangements for travel and are trying to reach a goal of $1500/player by various fundraisers. This is a difficult task to ask for many families in such short notice, especially for the families that want to go and watch their boys play. Most of our boys have never been to such events, have never had and may never have such opportunities. For all 12 of them, this will be a life changing event that they will talk about to their kids and grandchildren.
