Caring for Carey
Donation protected
We are friends and co-workers of Carey and are hoping to raise money for her and her beautiful family. It has been a long and difficult road for them. After beating breast cancer 5years ago, Carey and Shad got married and experienced a long process of having children of their own. They were lucky enough to have beautiful twin baby girls!
In January, Carey and her husband Shad celebrated their 3rd wedding anniversary and their twin daughters first Birthday! Carey has always been an amazing friend, wife and now mother.
She has dedicated her life outside her family to caring for critically-ill children at the Children's Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut. She is a hard-working, self-less, empathetic support for others every day at work; and now it is our time to give back.
Carey has now relapsed and been diagnosed with stage four breast cancer. As thier family processes this news, and tries to keep hope alive while exploring options; they were given more news. Shad, her husband, has also recently been diagnosed with a meningioma in his brain and is having surgery this week. Thankfully most of these are benign, and we are hoping for a quick recovery! As her friends, we are looking for ways to help Carey and her family at this difficult time. Please consider donating to our Caring for Carey fund, thank you in advance for all the support!
