BuskerBags: We cover your passion!

Donation protected

Before you read the following I just want to offer my heartfelt thanks for your consideration and contributions to a project that means very much to me. Music has been my rock throughout my life and has already been an extremely fulfilling pursuit, even though I have been playing guitar for more than 40 years... and still can't play! And for those of you who know me through my other passion, photography, don't worry, Red Dog News will continue!

My "Made in the USA" (Albuquerque, NM) project, BuskerBags® is at the pinnacle. It has been available for about two years and has garnered a good, dedicated following, including one collector who has eight BuskerBags!

"They're working great so far. They fit well on the axes I keep in their cases and they extend far enough that they adequately cover the bottoms on the ones I have on stands. My wife likes them because they're better looking than the pillow cases I've been using. (Hey, any port in a storm:) I'm pretty sure I'll need more of the smaller ones, so consider me a believer." George, Albuquerque, NM

This is where you come in. In order for me to continue this journey that began about 15-years ago at its inception, I need to raise the requested funds to continue to advertise in the magazines mentioned above, as well as continue to build up inventory and develop new products such as a BuskerBags cover for hammered dulcimers and one for a stick guitar.

During the last two years since this product has been on the market I have been to a couple of events, one was a sell-out and the other was not a sell-out, mainly because it wasn't the right venue. The result of this last effort has set me back financially and I need some assistance in getting back up the mountain.

You can read the complete story of the one-of-a-kind BuskerBags® and how the product came into being at BuskerBags Story. Some of you have been following me on this journey, and I thank you for your continued support.

Fortunately, I am quickly becoming educated at where the better markets are. Now that I have experienced venues that don't sell, I can steer clear of those in the future and only concentrate on shows and events that highlight the perfect venue for BuskerBags®, namely those similar to the Healdsburg Guitar Festival where I sold out my inventory in two days.

They do continue to sell, however, thanks to a good online presence at buskerbags.com and periodic advertising in Acoustic Guitar and Vintage Guitar magazines. I need to step up that advertising, however, to include American Songwriter, Fretboard Journal and Guitar Aficionado magazines.

Currently there are two sizes and four colors. The two sizes (Regular & Mini) will fit over most musical instruments that sit on stands, including mandolins, saxophones (below, left at NAMM) guitars, electric bass guitars, fiddles, mountain dulcimers (below, right at Apple Mountain Music), etc. We even created a one-of-a-kind BuskerBag® for a stand-up acoustic bass!

The goal amount will aid me in developing a solid marketing channel and have the benefit of inventory on hand. I appreciate any amount you can contribute. If you can contribute $50 and/or above, you can select your choice of one BuskerBag w/color and size. If you contribute $125 or more you can select two BuskerBags®. All other contributions will receive a heart-felt thanks and two official BuskerBags® coasters.
