Blossom, the beautiful puppy pictured above, needs your help. She is a happy, hyper puppy that is just over a year old. She has a serious injury that needs expensive surgery, so she is not so happy and hyper right now, but with your help we can change that. Please read on to learn more.
Less than 8 months ago, Scott and I rescued a beautiful dog, Blossom. She is a Flat Coated Retriever/Border Collie mix and is about 50lbs. She was listed as not having any manners and was struggling to find a good home, but once we took her in it became clear that she was the sweetest dog. She only shows poor manners when she cannot contain her love and kisses.
Despite the fact that she is only 14 months old and has had no sudden trauma, we found out that she has ruptured her cranial cruciate ligament, which means that her knee won't work and that she is in pain. Due to her size and activity levels, they have to do a very extensive surgery to prevent further damage and to allow her to walk comfortably again. Between the vet, the surgeon, the x-rays, and other expenses, we are facing costs exceeding $4,500.
Given how much we have already spent on Blossom and other medical expenses that we have, we are having a lot of trouble coming up with the money that we need. If only one issue had come up at a time we would be able to take care of it, we are just facing great difficulty in finding the funds for Blossom’s veterinary bills among our medical bills and other large expenses. We have insurance that will cover much of our medical costs, and that helps , but unfortunately it just does not cover everything and we are left with thousands of dollars to come up with ourselves.
