Our friend and colleague Mike Berquist was recently diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer. Unfortunately, surgery is not an option at this time, but Mike just started chemotherapy. He has a long road ahead but Mike has a wonderful attitude and a lot to fight and live for—most of all his 3-year-old daughter, Noelle and wife, Katherine. Mike is a wonderful dad and a devoted husband. His family will surely be his strength throughout his cancer treatment.
During this time, financial matters should be the last issue of concern for Mike but since he has a family, these issues have been weighing heavily on his mind. Mike’s colleagues at the Allegheny County D.A.’s office have launched this GoFundMe campaign to help him and his family with the burden of mounting medical bills and future educational needs for Noelle.
