Help Cape Ann Kids Get Ready for School!
Bailee's Backpacks, an initiative of Action, Inc., is a back-to-school supply drive that connects Gloucester families in need with new supplies and packs, with support from volunteers, local businesses, and generous donors. The program serves students in Kingergarten through Grade 8.
Schools send home long supply lists, with costs adding up quickly and placing stress on familes, especially those already struggling with household expenses. While community members have been a huge help in donating supplies, Bailee's Backpacks needs additional funds in order to purchase packs and help more families in need.
Bailee's Backpacks piloted last year when local 7-year-old Bailee and her mom decided they wanted to help less fortunate kids. They teamed up with Gloucester non-profit organization Action, Inc. and ended up serving more than 100 children. Since then, word has spread and demand has grown, so now we need YOUR help before school starts back up this fall!
*All donations go directly to Action, Inc. and will be used exclusively to purchase backpacks and school supplies for Bailee's Backpacks. This site is managed by Action's Director of Marketing and Planning, Jessica Benedetto-Unger.
