Boys & Girls Club Swim Challenge
Most kids love summer, especially when it involves swimming! But for many, the ability to jump in a pool, learn the backstroke or play "Marco Polo" is out of reach. Financial difficulty, lack of transportation or parent's work schedule often makes getting to a pool and learning how to swim a challenge.
That's why the Boys and Girls Club of the North Country is seeking your help to establish a local swim program for our Summer Campers. The cost for the program is $9,000 . This fee covers lessons and swimming twice a week for the 8 weeks of summer break - that's just $22.00 per per child.
BCGNC serves some of our region's most at-risk families. The Club is open to all, and we never turn anyone away for financial difficulty. Won't you help us spread a little sunshine to these deserving kids and support the Club by donating as little or as much as you can. Your donation in any amount will help.
In addition to individual doantions from community members like you, we'll be seeking grants and funding from around the region - we'll keep you updated on our progress. Thank you in advance for your support and let's get these kids swimming!
