BBQ Rescue Truck Food Booth

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Don Ansaldo and I'm here to ask for your help in building my dream. And that dream is to own and run a BBQ Food Truck. I'm a dedicated father of three boys ages 13 to 18, and a hard worker who gives 100 percent effort in everything I do. Oh did I mention that I'm one heck of a BBQ Pitmaster? At least thats what everyone who's tasted my BBQ tells me! I've been cooking with wood for over 16 years, including making my own signature Sauces and Dry Rubs. Now due to the urging of my family and friends, it's time to make this a business!

Together with my family we are raising funds to help build and equip a Food Booth. The booth will be set up at fairs, craft shows and other events to serve some of the tastiest BBQ you've ever had. It's purpose will be to fund the building of our BBQ Food Truck AND to help send children with burn injuries to the Arthur C. Luf Children's Burn Camp.

Why not just fund the truck directly you say? Well those that know me will tell you that I rarely ask for help. I take pride in trying to do everything myself. Almost to a fault some would say! The way I figure it there's no need to ask for a huge amount of money from others when I can start with a small donation and build it up from there. That's just the way I was raised I guess.

Being able to give back is very important to us and it's the least we can do if we are lucky enough to be graced with funding from others. Pay it forward! The Arthur C. Luf Children's Burn Camp is specifically outfitted to accommodate children with burn injuries and relies solely on donations to operate. When the kids attend camp they can relax and enjoy the "Freedom to be a kid."  To learn more about the camp please Click Here . Please help by donating ANY amount to this Food Booth so we can get out there, cook , finish the truck and help the camp.

This is the BBQ RESCUE TRUCK . It's a 1964 Ford P500 with an all original Boyertown body. The truck has 16000 original miles on it and was commissioned as Rescue 4 with the Hayden Station Fire Co. in Windsor CT. It needed some mechanical repairs which we have done ourselves. Now it needs to be outfitted with the necessary equipment and graphics to turn it into a fully operational mobile kitchen. The Food Booth will do just that.

Here is a rendering of what we want the truck to look like when it's completed. Custom smoker and all!

Please help turn this dream into a reality. Help us by taking just 5 or 10 minutes of your time and donating. No amount is too small. (Firehouses and their members may select the "Donate different amount" option to recieve special recognition by having their stations patch permanently mounted on the truck!) Everything donated will go directly into making our Food Booth dream come true and ultimately help send a kid to camp. Thank you for your time and consideration,
Sincerely, Donald Ansaldo.
