Students Support Asha Kiran India

The 3CMGM Class of 2015-2016 is aiming to impact the world, one person at a time, starting with the beautiful girls of Asha Kiran Children's Home in India.
We are a group of 20 Masters students from the 3Continental Master in Global Management program focused on our global reach, both professionally and personally. Our program focuses on international immersion in order to understand three distinct cultures and economies. We are currently studying at XIMB in Bhubaneswar, India.
A select group of international students within our program are inspired to make a lasting impact and want to maximize both their time and impact while in India.
We have come together in a collaborative group to make a difference. We will be residing in India for three months, where we will continue to create relationships and take over the initiative started by last year's batch to serve the children and orphanage.
We are in contact with Asha Kiran's orphanage in Bhubaneswar, India. They are eager to accept also our support and to work directly with our group to help the organization and the children in need. In accordance with our inquiry, the Asha Kiran orphanage has provided us with a list of their most pressing needs and iniatives in which we can take to help. In order to have the most profound impact, we are reaching out to acquire funding prior to our arrival in India in January in order to be able to focus on supporting and implementing our initiatives for change. The list of initiatives that we are looking to accomplish include:
• Purchasing beds and mattresses for the girls, because the girls deserve a comfortable night sleep.
• Provide funds to renovate the schoolbus and acquire insurance for it.
• Providing the necessary funding and organization needed to acquire health insurance as well as an emergency medical fund for the children (medical neccesities, food...)
• Purchasing, delivering and setting up home and school supplies for the the children (toiletries, books...)
• Aid in the education of English for the children with the hopes of teaching them how to support themselves in the future
• To play with and learn from the children in order to maximize the relationship between the children and the students
