Help ZOMBIES swim from Capri-Ischia

Help the Sea Change Prep Zombie Patrol (aka the Zombies*) swim a first-ever relay, from the Isle of Capri to the Isle of Ischia in Italy, in 2018! This swim will be a round trip of 34 miles, off the Italian coast near Naples. The funds raised will be used to help cover Marathon Swimmers Association fees, boat, captain and support crew, travel and lodging for the Zombies.
Update:
On August 21st 2017, the Zombies set their 3rd world record in open-water marathon relay swimming. The students left Santa Rosa Island in the dead of night, swimming for 17 hours to cross 27 miles of open ocean to reach the California mainland in the town of Goleta, near Santa Barbara.
Here are the Zombies’ previous swimming achievements:
- A world-record-setting relay swim, along the west coast of Molokai in the Hawaiian Islands (16 miles in very challenging weather conditions), August 2016
- A world-record-setting relay swim, in Southern California’s Channel Islands (41 miles, from Santa Barbara Island to Anacapa Island) September 2015
- The English Channel Relay (21 miles) June 2015
- The Catalina Channel Relay (21 miles) Sept 2014
- The Alcatraz Sharkfest (1.5 miles) June 2014
The Zombies are the Swim team of Sea Change Preparatory, in Del Mar, CA. They are a group of students who are defying expectations and transcending limitations.
Academically, all Sea Change Prep students are on a college prep track. With every success, each student's bar gets raised. The same is true for athletics.
Please help support the Zombies’ amazing dedication, athleticism, will power, team bonding and team spirit as they continue to train and prepare to set their next world-record relay swim in Italy, in August of 2018. Thanks in advance for your support!
