Computer for Amihan's Birthday

Dear Friends and Family of Amihan and all those who love supporting youth and the Filipino community,
Like many of you, I have know Amihan since she was 6. She was so shy that it took her almost 6 years to even talk to me. But ever since then I have gotten to know this amazing young girl who is growing into an even more amazing young women.
Now at 15 years old, soon to be 16, Amihan has developed an amazing talent to produce videos. When I was a staff person for the Filipino Community Center, myself and others were able to work with her as she produced several videos for our center. With each one she demonstrated not only her gift but her abilty to improve with each project.

All this time, up until now, Amihan has borrowed computers to complete the video editing. She borrows from FCC or she borrows from her mom.
Since Amihan is committed to serving the community and also has the talent, if she chooses, to one day produce videos professionally, I think it would be an amazing gift if we could find a way to give her one for her birthday on September 1st (two weeks away).
So I've set a goal of $1100 which will be enough to purchase a Mac Book Pro which is the basic standard for video editing.
I hope we can all make this happen not only for Amihan but for all the potential she could offer in supporting our community as well.
