Our Story
All Saints STEAM Academy - A small Catholic School has risen as STEAM education leaders with the commitment of amazing community volunteers and rock star robotics students. This group of six students in grades 6 to 8 are the 2015 Rhode Island State Champions in FIRST LEGO League (FLL)  robotics. With this title they have been invited to compete with 107 teams from around the globe at the FIRST World Championship, April 22-25 in St. Louis Missouri.
The FIRST  (For the Inspiration & Recognition of Science and Technology)program was started by Dean Kamen to inspirekids like ours.  This team is crazy about STEAM and have spent two nights a week and all day on most Saturdays to work on their robot design and programming to autonomously navigate the robot game table and to innovate a new way to teach cursive writing to all ages.

The FLL theme this year - World Class challenges all participants to research the education process. Mindstorms Mayhem researched how important the process of cursive writing is to brain developement.  Their research included interviewing a vision therapist, doctors, educators and product developement at Mindware educational toys. They have entered the
X Prize for Innovation with their cursive writing  educational process Scholar Ink!
The team has three test subjects working on their cursive with their innovative program Scholar Ink!                           This is level two practice.
