Soccer & Medical Trip to Jamaica

Hi! My name is Alex Taylor, I am currently a Junior in High School with a GPA of 4.9 and have a passion for soccer. I am hoping to attend college and seek a degree in the field of sports medicine. I have been playing soccer since the age of 5 and learn to love it more every time I step onto the field. I also have a desire to help kids. Ever since I was 11 years old, I decided that if I ever got the chance to travel and help kids in need, I would. Recently, I have been offered an opportunity that combines sports and education outreach. i am VolunTourismsm provides an opportunity to "give forward" through travel and community- based volunteer activities that empower under-served and at-risk communities. As part of the program I will teach and help educate these students not only in soccer but also preparing them with important study and life skills. I have been raised in a household where giving back to your community is very important and the fact that I can use my talent to do so is an honest blessing. I will be travelling to Jamaica for two weeks and need help to cover my travel expenses. I am truly excited for this opportunity because I am half Jamaican and have never visited the country. Not only will I be volunteering my time, I am being given an opportunity to learn about a new culture. Every donation, no matter how big or small, can make a difference.
