ALL IN FOR ANNA
To know Anna is to know that she is a fighter, someone who doesn’t back down from a challenge.
Recently, Anna was diagnosed with Severe Aplastic Anemia (SAA) and Idiopathic Thrombocytopenia Propura (ITP). In simple terms, this means her immune system is attacking and killing her cells. While at MD Anderson Center in Houston, Anna also was diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndromes (MDS). MDS, often referred to as a bone marrow failure disorder, are a group of diverse bone marrow disorders in which the bone marrow does not produce enough healthy blood cells.
Over the next eight months, Anna will return to Houston away from her family, friends and colleagues for a bone marrow transplant and treatment. The road to recovery won’t be easy but the love for her two young children—Millie and Hub—keeps Anna strong.
Among many things, a mother, scholar and cross fit extraordinaire, she gives it her all. That's why we are ALL IN for ANNA.
