Help me get a new(er) car!

My car has gotten to the point where I'm sinking more money into it for repairs than I can afford. Like clockwork, this car has had a major repair every 3 months for the past two years, at anywhere between 500 and 900 a shot. It's all original stuff that has been going. I cannot afford to get a newer car, and because I have a credit card that I've used from my shop, I've been able to put it on there and pay things off. I haven't been able to get anything truly paid off on that card because a new charge happens before the old ones are paid off. I'm trying to raise money for a down payment on a newer car. I'm not looking for anything brand spanking new, but newer than what I have. I currently drive a 1997 Honda Accord, and I'm looking to get another Honda because of how much I love the cars. 

My mom isn't in the best health, so I have to have a reliable form of transportation to get over to her house to help her out when I can. Without that, I'm unable to help her. 

With the money, I plan to use my car as a trade in, and put a down payment on a car.
