This is my sister.
She has been selected as the preferred candidate to adopt a child who will soon be born with Down Syndrome and a constellation of related symptoms.
I am asking you to donate a few dollars to help her adopt this child.
She has a master's degree in speech disorders, and a PhD in special education from one of the top universities in the field. She is a skilled researcher and program planner with a number of peer-reviewed publications. She has several years of experience teaching elementary school special education among some of the most at-risk populations around. She is a director for the Special Olympics organization, and has worked one-on-one with countless special needs children to improve both quality of life and educational outcomes.
More importantly than all of that is this: she is an incredible human being with a love for children that surpasses anything I've ever seen.
My sister is the type of person that gives what is needed, even when nobody's asking. Her selfless and caring nature have won her the adoration of all who know her. She is so ridiculously good with children that we all call her the "baby whisperer." Seriously- she should have her own show on TLC.
